How Do I Get Around While Living Off Campus?

May 13, 2025

Living off campus at The Seasons in Tucson, Arizona, offers the perfect balance of independence and convenience, especially when it comes to getting to the University of Arizona. Whether you're new to campus or looking to simplify your commute, we’ve got you covered!

Here’s how to navigate Tucson while living off campus and how The Seasons makes transportation easier than ever.

1. Take Advantage of The Seasons Shuttle Service

One of the biggest perks of living at The Seasons is our free shuttle service that runs Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 8 PM. Forget about worrying about parking or paying for a rideshare — we offer a convenient, air-conditioned shuttle that gets you to campus stress-free.

  • Departure: The shuttle leaves The Seasons at the hour mark, so plan accordingly if you have morning classes.
  • Arrival: It drops off at Highland Garage, a central location on campus, just a short walk from many of your classes and campus buildings.
  • Pick-up: Need a ride back after a long day? The shuttle departs from Highland Garage at the 30 minute mark every hour.
  • Timing: The commute takes only about 15 minutes each way, making it one of the fastest and most convenient options for students who live off campus.

2. Get Your Shuttle Pass

To access the shuttle, you’ll need a shuttle pass, which you can pick up for free at our front office. Keep track of it, though! While your first pass is free, replacements cost $100. A quick trip to the office can save you time and money, ensuring you’re always ready to ride.

3. Enjoy the Ride

All of our shuttles are equipped with air conditioning, a must for those hot Tucson days, and driven by friendly, professional drivers who are here to make your commute as comfortable as possible.

4. Explore Other Transportation Options

While The Seasons shuttle is an amazing option for getting to campus, you may need additional options for getting around town:

  • Biking: Tucson is a bike-friendly city with designated lanes. It's a great way to stay active while saving money on gas. To top it off the University of Arizona has Campus Bike Rentals, Repair Shop, and even a Cycling Club! You can get a long-term bike rental starting at just $70 per semester, including a U-lock, chain, and free maintenance. Perfect for students living off campus.
  • Public Transit: The Sun Tran bus system serves the Tucson area, and with your UofA student ID, you can ride for free on certain routes.
  • Carpooling: If you have friends with cars, carpooling can be a great way to split costs and cut down on your environmental impact.

Living at The Seasons gives you more than just a place to stay — it provides you with a reliable, free shuttle service to campus, cutting down on commuting time and costs. Whether you’re rushing to class or headed back after a day of studying, we’ve got your transportation needs covered.

Don’t wait, swing by the front office today to grab your shuttle pass and start making the most of your time at UofA!
