August is one of the busiest months in Tucson as students return to campus.
University of Arizona
August 18–22: Residence hall move-in takes place across campus.
Welcome Week follows move-in with student organization fairs, campus traditions, social events, and opportunities to meet new friends.
Classes begin Monday, August 24.
Pima Community College
Pima Community College students also begin preparing for the fall semester throughout August. Registration remains open leading up to the start of classes, with Fall 2026 classes beginning August 24.
